Opus Plasma | Non-Surgical Skin Resurfacing
The Opus Plasma uses radiofrequency and plasma energy to resurface and tighten to improve skin tone, texture, and laxity. This makes it a perfect choice to treat and improve fine lines, wrinkles, droopy eyelids, surgical scars, stretch marks, and acne scarring.
What is Opus Plasma?
It is unique because it can produce results equal to the most aggressive fractional CO2 lasers with much less downtime and improved patient comfort. The results with Opus Plasma are impressive even after one treatment!
How does it work?
Opus Plasma uses fractionated plasma energy to deliver effects similar to a deep resurfacing treatment without the downtime. Your provider holds the device above your skin and the RF energy emitted from its metal pins reacts with the air and generates plasma. This creates fractional injuries in your skin that trigger tissue regeneration and collagen remodeling.
Why Opus Plasma and not something else?
When compared to other treatments such as CO2 and fractional lasers, the down time with Opus Plasma is significantly less, it has a higher safety profile and the results are proven to be more advanced. The Opus Plasma tightens skin while resurfacing and rejuvenating. Not to mention it can be used on all skin types and used anywhere on the body.

What to expect with your treatment?
Prior to your treatment, we will apply a topical numbing cream for about 45 minutes. For some this is enough to be comfortable for the procedure. But if you are pain sensitive, we have nitrous oxide (laughing gas) available to make sure this will not be a painful procedure for you.
You may still feel some heat and mild stinging during the treatment, but most tolerate it very well. The treatment itself will take about 30 -45 minutes, depending on how much surface area is involved. The Opus Plasma includes two treatment heads. One is a roller to treat large areas like the face/neck/body, and the second head treats with a more focused tip, which is used for smaller areas such as the eyelids.
Is there downtime?
Immediately after your treatment, you will have mild redness and a sunburn look that will last a few hours, some swelling can occur for a couple of days (if your eye area is treated), and tiny dark dots will appear that will slowly flake off after 5-7 days. After the first day, mineral makeup or sunscreen may be applied and most of our patients are able to return to their normal routine after a few days.
How many treatments will I need?
Our patients are getting incredible results as soon as the first treatment, however for maximum results we are recommending 3-4 treatments. The natural aging process of course will still occur, so to maintain the best results, we recommend a maintenance treatment about once a year.
