Billing & Insurance
Evolution Dermatology + Wellness has a revolutionary healthcare model that allows patients to pay directly for their medical care.
This is a fresh, innovative way to provide healthcare. By reducing our administrative expenses we are able to provide our patients with affordable medical care, quicker access for treatment, individualized attention and service, quality time with your provider, shorter office wait times and transparent fees for our services.
This means that you will be asked to pay at your appointment for the services you rendered during your visit. But we are able to keep your cost lower without billing through your insurance company. Our model enables our providers to transition from being an employee of insurance companies to working directly for you, the patient.
Can I still submit my bill to my health insurance company?
Our fees for your medical services may be covered by your health insurance plan under your “out-of-network” benefits and oftentimes this can go toward your deductible. Check with your insurance plan to see if this may be an option for you. If you request it, we are happy to submit a receipt that will contain your diagnosis and procedure codes for “out-of-network” reimbursement to your insurance company. Or we can print a coded receipt for you to submit this yourself with your insurance plan’s claim form.
Please call if you have insurance questions.
What if I have my healthcare insurance through Medicare?
We are able to see Medicare patients on a private contract basis. All Medicare patients are required to sign a private contract before we are able to provide care. This contract indicates that you understand that medical services will not be covered and that you are not allowed to file a claim and neither are we.
What if I have bloodwork or pathology for a biopsy done?
Any blood work (not done at our facility) or biopsy pathology can be billed to your health insurance plan (if you have one).
Can I pay with a credit card or my HSA card?
Of course! We accept: Cash, Checks, Debit Cards, All Major Credit Cards, Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) and Health Savings Accounts (HSA)
The bottom line is, we are always a practice devoted to our patients’ health and wellbeing. With our direct payment model we are able to avoid fees associated with traditional health care insurance and create greater access to medical care at a lower cost to our patients.
